Gagan is a Bronze Medallist, London Olympics 2012. Gagan is the recipient of the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, and Padma Shree. He is one of the key members of India’s shooting contingent and is popularly known as ‘The 600 Express’, thanks to shooting a World Record score of 600 twice. Gagan always wanted to contribute to the sports ecosystem in India and it was this intense desire of giving back that resulted in his shooting academy Gun For Glory (GFG). GFG is driven to develop and promote India’s best shooting talent by making world-class shooting infrastructure and training affordable to them, thereby creating future medal winners for India.
Vimal Kumar
Co-Founder and Chief Coach of the PPBA, Former National coach and a dronacharya awardee.
A badminton olympian from Kerala, he won the Indian National Badminton title in 1988 and 1989. He also won the prestigious French Open in 1983 & 1984 and Welsh International Open in 1988 and 1991. Vimal also represented India at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, and was ranked in the world top 20. He was the National chief coach for the Indian badminton squad for several years. He quit the post in 2006 to concentrate on coaching youngsters at the PPBA. He has also coached Saina Nehwal and was instrumental in helping her reach the World No.1 position.
